**Welcome to Pilotlogbook Forums.** A forum exclusive to Pilotlogbook users. Anyone can read Pilot Talk and Announcements, but only Pilotlogbook owners can join the conversation.

### What you can do here

**Talk flying in Pilot Talk.** Ask questions, share what you’ve learned, swap stories and get advice from other pilots. [Pilot Talk](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/c/pilot-talk/4) is open to every member, including Student Edition.

**Get help with Pilotlogbook.** Search [Pilotlogbook Help](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/c/pilotlogbook-help-tips/6) for guides and answers, including the full [Pilotlogbook Manual](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/t/pilotlogbook-manual/16). Private and Commercial owners can ask their own questions. When a reply fixes your problem, mark it as the solution so the next pilot finds the answer fast.

**Shape what we build next.** Suggest features in [Pilotlogbook Requests](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/c/pilotlogbook-help-tips/feature-requests/9) and vote for the ideas you want most. The most-voted ideas help us decide what to build next.

**Join Members Only.** [Members Only](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/c/members-only/10) is a private space just for Private and Commercial owners.

**Invite a guest.** Private and Commercial owners can invite **one guest** : a flying buddy, student, instructor or colleague who’d get something out of the community.

1. Open **Guest pass** in the sidebar, or go to [your Preferences → Guest pass](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/my/preferences/guest-pass).
2. Either enter your guest’s email and select **Send invite** , or select **Create invite link** and send the link yourself by text, message or however suits. The link works once.
3. When your guest accepts, they’ll appear on your Guest pass page. Unused invites expire after 30 days.

Your guest can read, post, reply and like across the forums, just like you. You can **revoke access** at any time (your guest keeps their login and can still read Pilot Talk and Announcements), and **restore** a past guest whenever your guest slot is free. You can have one guest at a time, a person can only be one member’s guest at a time, and if your membership ends, your guest’s access ends too.

**Earn points and swap them for rewards.** Engaging in the forum earns points, and points turn into Pilotlogbook discount codes, all the way up to a Free Edition. Your balance is always at the top of the page, and everything is on your [Rewards page](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/rewards).

### Who can do what

- **Visitors** can read Pilot Talk and Announcements.
- **Student Edition** (free for Australian student pilots) can post in Pilot Talk, reply to Announcements, read Pilotlogbook Help and Requests, and earn points.
- **Private and Commercial Edition** owners, and the one guest each can invite, get everything: asking in Help, posting and voting on Requests, and Members Only.

Not a member yet? Student pilots in Australia can join free with the [Student Edition](https://pilotlogbook.au/products/casa-electronic-pilotlogbook). Already on the Student Edition? [Upgrade to Private or Commercial](https://pilotlogbook.au/products/casa-electronic-pilotlogbook) for full access.

### Why posting is for Pilotlogbook owners

In an effort to provide more value to Pilotlogbook customers, we have decided to keep posting on **Pilotlogbook Forums** exclusive to Pilotlogbook owners for three reasons:

1. Our data shows that Pilotlogbook users tend to be more committed to aviation, and more focused on long-term planning, than the average pilot. _This is likely because they’ve already chosen to invest in a permanent, subscription-free replacement for the paper logbook problem._
2. Because only Pilotlogbook owners can post, users are connecting with other pilots who share that same level of commitment.
3. Australia has very few dedicated pilot forums, and the ones that exist constantly battle spam, bots and AI-generated accounts. Every member of our forum is a verified Pilotlogbook owner or their chosen guest, so every account belongs to a real pilot.

> ## A note from the Pilotlogbook Team
>
> We’ve proudly spent 3 years building Pilotlogbook for Aussie pilots, and close to a thousand pilots like yourself now use it. We wanted to create an environment to discuss, share what you’ve learned, and help each other reach career or personal goals.
>
> Many of you have sent us your logbook so we could sort out an issue, and that has shown us just how wide this community is. We’ve worked on logbooks with well over 10,000 hours, and we regularly help pilots with as few as 10. Wherever you are in your career, someone here has been where you’re headed, or remembers being where you are now.
>
> Australian Aviation is a small, well-connected industry. We hope these forums grow into the place we all go to swap knowledge, get advice, and hear the inside word.

### Get started

**Introduce yourself.** Add a photo and a bit about yourself, such as your ratings, licences and experience, to [your profile](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/my/preferences/account). Then tell us: what’s one thing you’d like to learn about the industry, or one thing you’d like to pass on?

**Get to know the community.** [Browse the discussions](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/latest) already happening here. When a post is useful, interesting or just makes you laugh, give it a ❤.

**Join in.** Comment, share your perspective, ask questions or offer feedback. Before you post, please take a minute to read the [Community Guidelines](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/faq).

> Need help with Pilotlogbook? Search #Pilotlogbook Help, or ask there if you own Private or Commercial Edition. For anything else about the forum, [contact the admins](https://forum.pilotlogbook.au/about).
